Interstate 83 emerges from the Baltimore region of Maryland into York County, Pennsylvania and serves York and capital Harrisburg within the Commonwealth before terminating at Interstate 81. I-83 has a business route through York as well as an interchange with the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the south side of greater Harrisburg.
