Interstate 76
351 miles long within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Interstate 76, upon entering the Keystone State from New Jersey, runs through Philadelphia as the Schuylkill River along the river of the same name. At Valley Forge, it joins the mainline of the Pennsylvania Turnpike where it remains into Ohio. On the Turnpike, it passes south of Reading and Harrisburg, northeast of Pittsburgh, and has three tunnels and numerous curves through the Allegheny range of the Appalachian Mountains, along with a crossing of the Susquehanna River. From Breezewood to New Stanton in the western part of the state, I-76 shares Turnpike pavement with Interstate 70.
