U.S. Route 322 runs across Pennsylvania starting in Crawford County in the Commonwealth's northwest, parallel to Interstate 80 from Clarion to Clearfield, along Interstate 99 through the State College area, as a freeway to the Harrisburg area where it overlaps with interstates 81 and 83, and eastward through Hershey, northern Lancaster County, and finally through Chester County, along U.S. routes 202 and 1 into Delaware County and, after a brief overlap with Interstate 95 south of Philadelphia, enters New Jersey via the Delaware River's Commodore Barry Bridge.
