Officially named the Conway Bypass after the city it diverts traffic around, South Carolina Highway 22 provides a 29-mile freeway connection between U.S. Route 501 in the Aynor area of Horry County and U.S. Route 17 just south of North Myrtle Beach. It has an interchange with US 17's relief route freeway, South Carolina Highway 31.
