Interstate 95 in North Carolina runs from the South Carolina border near Rowland in Robeson County to the Virginia border near Gaston in Northampton County, a total of 181 miles. Along the way it passes through the areas of Lumberton, Fayetteville, Dunn, Benson, Smithfield, Wilson, Rocky Mount and Roanoke Rapids. It serves as an approximate dividing line between North Carolina's Piedmont and Atlantic regions.
