Interstate 271 is a 40-mile southern and eastern bypass of Cleveland, going from its parent Interstate 71 just east of Medina in Medina County to Interstate 90 in Willoughby Hills in Lake County. As a bypass route, its control cities are Columbus, Ohio southbound via I-71 and Erie, Pennsylvania northbound via I-90.
