Maryland Route 22 runs 13 miles between county seat Bel Air and an entrance to the Aberdeen Proving Ground, in Harford County. It vacillates between forming a one-way pair, to being a two-way trafficway and a divided highway. The route has an elaborate interchange with Interstate 95 on the northwest side of Aberdeen.
