Interstate 79

Interstate 79 serves the western edge of Pennsylvania, overlapping with Interstate 70 near Washington, passing west of Pittsburgh, crossing the Ohio River, and meeting the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Interstate 80 before ending just north of Interstate 90 in Erie in the Commonwealth's northwest corner. I-79 has two auxiliary routes, I-279 and I-579, in the Pittsburgh area.
