Interstate 580 - Oakland

At the MacArthur Maze interchange in Oakland, California, two lanes apiece are reserved for traffic exiting from Interstate 80 west onto Interstate 580 east toward Hayward and Stockton (left) or Interstate 880 south toward Alameda and San Jose (right). (5-7-2026)

In ¼ mile, I-580 will intersect MacArthur Boulevard and San Pablo Avenue at exit 19A, while at 19B to eastbound California State Route 24 toward Walnut Creek is half a mile away. (5-7-2026)

After the left exit ramp to MacArthur/San Pablo, there is advance signage for exit 19C for westbound Interstate 980, a quick link to I-880, downtown Oakland and the international airport. Additionally, Berkeley is added as a control city for CA 24 east. (5-7-2026)

West

I-580, with control cities of San Francisco and Sacramento via I-80, heads west toward its interchange with Market Street/San Pablo in west Oakland. (5-8-2026)

The highway then reaches the MacArthur Maze, with westbound I-580 joining westbound I-80 which it runs along through Berkeley and Albany, and exit 19A forming the movement to I-80 west and, by way of the Bay Bridge, San Francisco. (5-8-2026)
